OUR STORY
It all started in 2016 when Shayne became a suspiciously regular customer at the restaurant Angell worked at (shoutout to Fergus & Bix!). After lots of flirting and eating everything on the menu, he casually asked her to go for a dog walk—just to “test the waters.”
Angell, forever honest and direct, decided they’d be better off as friends.​
Shayne’s response?
"That’s the thing about life—
you just never know how things will work out."

Turns out, he was right. After their first official date, Angell did a total 180—and boom, they fell in love.
​
Fast forward to the end of 2020: they broke up. Sparing the gory details, they spent an entire year apart, doing the whole “moving on” thing—new lives, new people, new perspectives and loads of healing. But something just… wasn’t right.
A year later, they met up for a drink. Shayne poured his heart out, and Angell realized she felt the same. And this time, they knew what they had was special and they would honour that.

What followed was nothing short of a miracle. Rebuilding a relationship with new ways of being and loads of intentionality isn’t easy. But they did the work. They didn’t just get back together—they built Version 2.0: the upgraded, emotionally evolved, more magical edition of their love.

In May 2024, while on vacation on the dreamy island of Naxos in Greece, Shayne popped the question. Angell, fully relaxed and zero percent expecting a proposal, was completely shocked & over the moon! From there something magical happened.

They call it the engagement portal.
The energy changed. The world cracked open. Suddenly, everything felt possible. They asked each other: If we could create anything in this life, what would it be?

One year later, they both quit their jobs, sold everything, and moved back to Naxos to restore a 350-year-old building into a boutique hotel!
​
Because that’s what love does when it’s built on freedom, truth, and deep acceptance. It creates magic. It rewrites the rules. It turns heartbreak into healing—and dreams into a very real life.
